14. Internationales Straßentheaterfestival Görlitz / Zgorzelec / Zawidów von 31.07 – 02.08.2008

“Die Komödianten sind in der Stadt “, hieß es in früheren Zeiten voller Vorfreude bevor die fahrenden Schauspieltruppen auf den Straßen und öffentlichen Plätzen ihre mitgebrachten Stücke zur Aufführung brachten. Als dann später immer mehr Theater gebaut und stehende Theaterensembles zur bürgerlichen Selbstverständlichkeit wurden, kam diese lebendig-improvisierende Öffentlichkeit des Theaters aus der Mode. Erst im 20. Jahrhundert erfand sich das Theater auf der Straße als Kunstform neu und gab sich nicht mehr zufrieden mit den Grenzen der Bühne. Die unmittelbare, unvorbereitete Begegnung mit Menschen wurde wieder als Chance und künstlerische Herausforderung begriffen. Heute ist Straßentheater eine der innovativsten und offensten Kunstformen überhaupt. Görlitz und Zgorzelec werden im Jahr 2008 nun schon zum 14. Mal zu einer der bedeutendsten europäischen „Bühnen“ für Straßentheater. Unter dem übergreifenden Thema „Wasser und Grenzen“ konnte erneut eine Auswahl der weltweit anerkanntesten Straßentheaterkünstler gewonnen werden. Lassen Sie sich von dem Treiben auf unserer ViaThea anstecken und begeistern. Die Komödianten ziehen weiter, die Bilder werden bleiben.

14.Miedzynarodowy Festiwal Teatru Ulicznego Görlitz / Zgorzelec / Zawidów

„Komedianci sa w mieście ”, tak brzmiał radosny okrzyk w dawnych czasach, gdy podróżujace trupy artystów prezentowały swoje spektakle na ulicach i placach miejskich. Kiedy w późniejszym czasie coraz wiecej nowo powstajacych stacjonarnych teatrów angażowało artystów na stałe, ta nowa forma stała sie czymś oczywistym dla mieszczaństwa, a żywy i improwizujacy teatr uliczny stracił na popularności. Dopiero w XX w. teatr uliczny jako forma sztuki zrodził sie na nowo ze sprzeciwu wobec granic narzucanych przez scene. Bezpośredni i nieprzygotowany kontakt z ludźmi znowu pojeto jako szanse i artystyczne wyzwanie. Dziś teatr uliczny jest jedna z najbardziej innowacyjnych i otwartych form sztuki. Görlitz i Zgorzelec stana sie w roku 2008 już po raz 14 jedna z najbardziej znakomitych w Europie „scen” teatru ulicznego. „Woda i granice“ – pod tym ogólnym tytułem wystapia znani na całym świecie znakomici artyści teatru ulicznego. Pozwólcie sie Państwo oczarowac tym, co bedzie sie działo na naszej ViaThea! Komedianci ciagna dalej, wrażenia pozostana.

14th International Street Theatre Festival Görlitz / Zgorzelec / Zawidów

“The comedians are back in town ” – Full of anticipitation, they used to call it through the streets when the troupes of actors were on their way. Travelling from town to town, they staged their plays in the middle of public places and streets. But with more and more theatres and theatre companies establishing and taken for granted, the spirited and improvised theatre in public became outdated. Nowadays street theatre is one of the most innovative and open-minded type of art. It was only in the 20th century when the theatre on the street was reinvented as art and started to cross the boundaries of a fixed stage. In 2008 – for the 14th time – Görlitz and Zgorzelec will again turn into one of the grand european “stages” of street theatre. Under this years theme “Water and Boundaries” we could once more find a great choice of artists known worldwide to enrich the festival. Dive into the world of street theatre and get inspired by the atmosphere of our ViaThea. The comedians will travel on, but bright memories will stay.
